Wake up!

Hello. My name is Himaja! Welcome to the digital home of my capstone project: a zine about how I treat rest as an act of radical resistance. ​

I'm a senior at the University of Michigan studying Computer Engineering and Writing. I love electricity and I love stories. But to tell you the truth, I think that every space on this Earth is a classroom, and I'm a student of many more disciplines than my diploma will let on.

 

In this project, I spun a story out of the things I have learned from my body, from my garden, and from my fellow students. In doing so I want to invite you into my worldview, a worldview about work and rest that you may not recognize. I encourage you to let down your guard a little bit and have a look around. Strap on your scuba gear, dive in, and see what you learn in the process.
